Beyond any one person are the effects and results of living a lifetime. Achieving immortality requires a lasting impact for the benefit of future generations. Stokes Construction Company continues today as the living vision one man possessed over sixty years ago, a true testament to his dream.
In 1952 John Stokes’ pursuit of affordable housing for the community was followed quickly by expansion into the commercial construction field. In 1981, his wife Fraye who retired last year, added to the company’s resources with years of management, marketing and financial skills benefiting the many business ventures and properties owned and maintained.
Joining the company in 1986 was Fraye’s son, Fred Bost, who was hand-picked by John to carry on the next generation of building and tradition. Fred immediately understood John’s dream and has been diligent in adhering to the business ethics that have been the benchmark of this company from the beginning. Fred, a co-owner, is the general manager and takes personally the responsibility for the continuity of the ideals and goals established at the company’s inception, carrying stokes construction successfully into the future.
